Kazuki's Monaco Blog: Sunday
25 May 08
That was one of the craziest races of my career. The track conditions were different from one lap to the next and the visibility was terrible during the early laps, so it feels good to have brought home two more points for the Constructors’ Championship.
The secret to finishing seventh was staying out of trouble – and that was very difficult to do early on in the race. The spray made it hard to see where you were going and there were rivers running across the track, so you had to be very careful.
There is a lot to reflect on after this race, so I’m going to the AT&T Williams factory this week to talk through the race with my engineers. Then I’m going to take a short detour with my girlfriend en route to the next race, the Canadian Grand Prix on 8 June.
Neither of us has been to New York, so we’re going to spend a few days in the Big Apple over the weekend. I’ll do a bit of training while I’m there, but the main reason for going is to relax. I also want to visit Ground Zero, which I expect to be an emotional experience.
I’ll tell you all about it in my next blog.
Drive safely,
Kazuki
